Pete Steve rode the 24-Hour Challenge seven times from 1988 through 1997, and has volunteered with the organization ever since.

When N24HC separated from the Rapid Wheelmen bicycle club, he incorporated N24HC as an independent entity. He served as Board President and Event co-organizer for many years and continues to volunteer as Resident Agent of the non-profit corporation.

Pete, an electrical engineer, retired from Smith Industries Aerospace in 2006.
