NEW!!! Under 18 Age Group!!!

We are excited to announce that the National 24 Hour Challenge has added a new age category – Under 18! For the first time in the 38 year history of the National 24 Hour Challenge, we are welcoming riders under age 18.

Riders under the age of 18 will be allowed to participate subject to all four of the following conditions:

1. Riders under age 18 must have a valid driver’s license or learner’s permit. The driver’s license or learner’s permit must be shown at check-in to participate.

2. Riders under age 18 must ride at all times in the presence of a designated adult (over 18) who is registered as a National 24 Hour Challenge participant. The adult does not need to be a parent or guardian. The designated adult cannot ride with more than six riders under age 18.

3. Riders under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign a liability release. Parents or guardians are encouraged to attend the National 24 Hour Challenge but are not required. The liability release is available online or can be signed at check-in.

4. A parent/guardian, or the designated adult riding with the rider under 18, must check-in together.

All four of these conditions must be met to participate if you are under 18. There will be no refunds if you are unable to meet all four conditions.

Starting today, riders under 18 are welcome to register at www.n24hc.bike/register. We look forward to seeing riders under 18 years old achieve their personal best and set records in the new under 18 age group!

Four Reasons You MUST Register by March 31!

If you have not yet registered for the 2022 National 24 Hour Challenge then you need to get it done soon. Don’t just take my word for it, here are four reasons you do not want to wait any longer to register!

REASON #1: Save $20! On April 1, 2022, the entry fee for the National 24 Hour Challenge will increase by $20. Wouldn’t you rather have $20 in your pocket (people over 35 know what I mean) than having to pay more for the National 24 Hour Challenge later? All you need to do to save $20 is go to www.n24hc.bike/register and register before midnight March 31st.

REASON #2: Get the Shirt! Did you see that awesome 2022 National 24 Hour Challenge rider t-shirt? If not, scroll down a little in this email and check it out. Register by March 31 and receive the t-shirt. Register on or after April 1 and you’ll miss out. I am sure you have heard all about how the whole supply chain is broken, so we need to get our t-shirt order in early this year. All you need to do to get the shirt is go to www.n24hc.bike/register and register before midnight March 31st.

REASON #3: Support Team Services! If you want to take advantage of our support team services, you really should register now. What is our support team? I am glad you asked.

We realize not every rider may be able to bring a crew with them. Our National 24 Hour Challenge Support Team provides you with the support you need to complete the National 24 Hour Challenge successfully as a rider without a crew.

Our Support Team will transport your food and supplies to the Delton-Kellogg High School checkpoint, where they will be available for you at our clearly designated Support Team tent. The tent will be manned by volunteers for the entire time the checkpoint is open. Once the Delton-Kellogg High School checkpoint closes, your unused food and supplies will be brought back to Thornapple-Kellogg Middle School.

From 9 a.m. Saturday morning through 8 a.m. Sunday morning, a clearly designated Support Team tent will be available for your support on the grounds of Thornapple-Kellogg Middle School. You can place your food and other supplies in the tent and volunteers will assist you when you come through the checkpoint.

All you need to do to get support team services is go to www.n24hc.bike/register and register. We limit the number of riders we serve with support team services, so you need to sign up sooner than later as our support team services we will sell out. Will there be some support team spots available after March 31st? Maybe, but we can’t guarantee it. Sign up today.

REASON #4: Commit to Achieving Your Personal Best! Most all of us are procrastinators (I am sure there is a study somewhere to back this statement up). If you are going to achieve your personal best, make the commitment to participate now. Put some skin in the game and you’ll find yourself more motivated to put in those training miles that are essential to achieving your personal best.

All you need to do to achieve your personal best is go to www.n24hc.bike/register and register before midnight March 31st. Sorry for being a nag about this but you’ll thank me in June.

Ta-Da!

Presenting our 2022 National 24 Hour Challenge Rider Shirt!

The Rider Shirt lets everyone know you accepted the challenge at the 2022 National 24 Hour Challenge. Just like the Crew Shirt, the Rider Shirt is printed in REFLECTIVE SILVER INK which means you’ll be visible in your shirt at night!

Want one? You will need to register at www.n24hc.bike/register no later than midnight March 31st.

NEW!!! Facebook Group!

We now have an official National 24 Hour Challenge Facebook Group!

Riders have often expressed a desire for more opportunities for connection the 363 days a year that they’re not actually at the National 24-Hour Challenge. Given that it’s a truly national event, with participants coming from coast to coast, this can be a bit of a challenge, so to speak.

To meet this need, this winter, we’ve launched a new, official, Facebook group for N24HC riders. It’s an open group, so really anyone with a Facebook account and a connection to the event can join in the conversation.

Based on the comments from riders and volunteers, this year we will be adding additional lighting near the entrance to the Middleville checkpoint, to light up the dark corner where riders go in and out of the checkpoint.

It’s a group where we hope riders will be able to share wisdom, get inspired, find answers, and make connections that will help them have the best ride they can in June – a positive place in the social media scene.

Head on over and ask a question, post an inspirational link, or join in the conversation!
