Have you accepted the challenge?

The unofficial, but often used motto, of the National 24 Hour Challenge is “Challenge Accepted.” If you are going to accept the challenge, then you need to register!

STEP ONE: Sign-up today. Go to n24hc.bike/register. Registration closes at 6 p.m. EDT on Friday, June 17, 2022. You will receive a registration confirmation email immediately after you are done registering and it will include your rider number. If you have questions about registration email us at registration@n24hc.bike.

We encourage anyone who wants Support Team services to register soon as we have a limited number of openings and the Support Team services will sell-out.

STEP TWO: Visit your profile page and add your picture if you want. Once you have registered, you can visit your rider profile page at https://24hr.bike/.

STEP THREE: Check out who is riding! You can see all of the current registrants on https://24hr.bike/

Click on the “Registered Riders” menu tab at the top of the screen, and then select “All” and you will see all of the male and female registrants as of today.

Click on the “Category” menu tab and then select your age category or bicycle frame type to see who is registered in your category.

Check out the new crew shirt!

One of the new things we are adding to the National 24 Hour Challenge in 2022 is a t-shirt for crew members. We have had shirts for riders and we have had shirts for volunteers, but we have never had a shirt for crew members. The hundreds of people who come to the National 24 Hour Challenge in support of their favorite rider or team deserve a shirt! Check out our 2022 National 24 Hour Challenge Crew Shirt!

The Crew Shirt is maroon with the National 24 Hour Challenge logo in silver on the front, and a list of just some of the many things crew members do during the National 24 Hour Challenge on the back.

But wait, there’s more . . . not just any silver ink, the Crew Shirt is printed in REFLECTIVE SILVER INK which means you’ll be visible in your shirt at night!

And now a word or two about reflective ink. Reflective ink looks perfectly normal in daylight. It is NOT shiny, it is NOT sparkly, it is NOT glittery. It is just silver during the day. At night, it reflects the light. It does NOT glow, it does NOT turn purple under a black light. It is reflective and it is cool.

Registered riders can purchase the Crew Shirt on our registration website at www.n24hc.bike/register and click on Merchandise Shop at the top of the webpage. The Crew Shirt is available in adult and children’s sizes. We will have a limited supply available during the event so we encourage you to purchase your Crew Shirts in advance.

be safe out there

Our top priority, each and every year, is to provide the safest event possible. We do a lot of things to help keep riders safe during the event including using sheriff deputies on course, providing emergency medical services at our headquarters, light towers on the corners of the night loop, a safety team on the course to respond to incidents, glow sticks on the service drive in and out of the checkpoint – and much more.

Based on the comments from riders and volunteers, this year we will be adding additional lighting near the entrance to the Middleville checkpoint, to light up the dark corner where riders go in and out of the checkpoint.

What are we missing? How can we make the event safer? Drop us an email at: National24Hour@gmail.com if you have any safety concerns or ideas for improving safety at this year’s event.

get ready to volunteer

The National 24 Hour Challenge is an all volunteer event. From planning to the day of the event, it all happens due to over 100 people who graciously volunteer their time.

After the changes we made to the event last year, we are reassessing our volunteer positions for this year’s event. We are in the process of updating the volunteering website and we will be asking for volunteers to sign up by the end of the month.

If you have volunteered in the past, we’ll send you an email when the volunteer website is ready to go. If you are able to help us this year by volunteering, we’ll have the volunteer website up soon.
