Get Registered! Registration Opens at 12:01 a.m. on January 1st!

After you celebrate New Year’s at midnight on January 1, 2022, register for the 39th annual National 24-Hour Challenge, June 18-19, 2022. Your personal best will require ample spring training, so make the commitment now!

All registrations must be made through n24hc.bike/register. We will accept registrations starting at 12:01 a.m. EST on New Year’s Day. Registration closes at 6 p.m. EDT on Friday, June 17, 2022.

We encourage anyone who wants Support Team services to register early as availability is limited.

We will not be mailing printed brochures, so be sure to download the 2022 Registration Information from N24HC.org and forward this email to your friends.

Will You Accept the Challenge?

Will you accept the challenge in 2022? After making several years of changes and improvements to the event (remember when we used to use a hand-punch to track mileage on your back tag?), the 2022 National 24 Hour Challenge is going to look a whole lot like last year’s event.

There are a couple of small changes we are bringing to the 2022 National 24 Hour Challenge – we think of them as refinements to make a good thing even better.

Crew Shirts! For the first time ever, we will be offering a commemorative crew member t-shirt. This t-shirt will be the perfect thank you for your incredible crew members who make your ride possible! We will be offering the crew t-shirt in children’s sizes.

Day Loop Requirement. For 2022, all riders will be required to ride the Day Loop at least twice (100 miles) to be eligible to ride the Night Loop. We are also going to open the Night Loop at 5 p.m. this year (last year it opened at 6 p.m.) so that riders who will be riding the Day Loop twice do not need to wait as long to start riding the Night Loop. Of course, riders are welcome to ride the Day Loop as many times as they would like, however, the Delton checkpoint will be closing at 7 p.m. this year.

For information about these items and more, be sure to download the 2022 Registration Information.

Attention Rollover Registration Riders

If you signed up for the 2021 National 24 Hour Challenge, were unable to attend when we rescheduled the event for August, and you requested that we rollover your registration to 2022, please be aware of the following:

We have transferred all of your registration information from 2021 to n24hc.bike/register. On or after January 1, 2022, please visit n24hc.bike/register to review and verify your information. Be sure to select the “Rollover Rider” option at n24hc.bike/register. Do NOT create a new registration.

We will ask you to confirm some basic information to make sure it is still current, and then you can make changes to your rollover registration, such as adding meal tickets, or purchasing additional merchandise.

If you have any questions about your rollover registration, contact us at registration@n24hc.bike or (616) 953-0234.

The Crew Shirt is maroon with the National 24 Hour Challenge logo in silver on the front, and a list of just some of the many things crew members do during the National 24 Hour Challenge on the back.

But wait, there’s more . . . not just any silver ink, the Crew Shirt is printed in REFLECTIVE SILVER INK which means you’ll be visible in your shirt at night!

And now a word or two about reflective ink. Reflective ink looks perfectly normal in daylight. It is NOT shiny, it is NOT sparkly, it is NOT glittery. It is just silver during the day. At night, it reflects the light. It does NOT glow, it does NOT turn purple under a black light. It is reflective and it is cool.

Registered riders can purchase the Crew Shirt on our registration website at www.n24hc.bike/register and click on Merchandise Shop at the top of the webpage. The Crew Shirt is available in adult and children’s sizes. We will have a limited supply available during the event so we encourage you to purchase your Crew Shirts in advance.

be safe out there

Our top priority, each and every year, is to provide the safest event possible. We do a lot of things to help keep riders safe during the event including using sheriff deputies on course, providing emergency medical services at our headquarters, light towers on the corners of the night loop, a safety team on the course to respond to incidents, glow sticks on the service drive in and out of the checkpoint – and much more.

Based on the comments from riders and volunteers, this year we will be adding additional lighting near the entrance to the Middleville checkpoint, to light up the dark corner where riders go in and out of the checkpoint.

What are we missing? How can we make the event safer? Drop us an email at: National24Hour@gmail.com if you have any safety concerns or ideas for improving safety at this year’s event.
